Example Text-Only InstantPalace

This example illustrates a text-only InstantPalace in a frame within a web page. This InstantPalace view includes all of the buttons and panels, but no room window or avatars.

This example also turns off the ability for the user to type a name and choose an avatar when originally entering the InstantPalace environment. See InstantPalace Parameters here.

Files

The files for this example are located in the /palace/client/text-only directory.

index.html

This file defines the frames that are included in the web page. In this example, the top frame includes a dummy web page. You can easily change the reference in this top frame to point to one of your own web pages. The bottom frame includes the text-only view into your InstantPalace.

These are  dummy  web pages.  You can replace them with any of your own.

 

textonlya-wide.html

This html file formats the InstantPalace view to remove the room view. Only the buttons, button panel, and text input box are included.  Changing this file affects how InstantPalace appears.
